Blogging is not quite the passion for me that it once was. It's no longer my daily routine to come home and tell the internet about my qualms and questions. However it hasn't ceased to be a form of communication I am quite comfortable with.
Not too long ago I got a twitter. I used the twitter as an opportunity to keep track of many of the socially just organizations that i'm familiar with, with an emphasis on ethical trade aspects. However Toms shoes, Amnesty International, and other organizations flooded my page with constant updates, drowning those of my friends.
Wanting to stay connected to everyone but not be choked out, I created yet another twitter with two purposes; both to keep track of the social justice world, and to spread new ethical trade information to my friends.
Today as I thought about this double twitter idea I asked myself "why not have two blogs as well?" I already have a personal blog, but if I were to create a second blog purely for spreading the word and voicing my opinions on Fair Trade matters I might be able to educate myself and others more effectively.
So here it is, my new blog created with the purpose of spreading the fair trade love. May it blog in peace.
